Fictional Bruneian weapons pt1

Something I've been working on for the past couple of days...

FICTIONAL BRUNEIAN-MADE WEAPONS

Though currently Brunei has designed no weapons for its own armed forces, I just couldn't help but wonder what kind of weapons we'd make if we did. Since Brunei is a rich nation, I put no economic restriction on these designs.

Brunei's armed forces, although well-trained, are relatively small compared to the military in other nations. Therefore, it would be reasonable if the weapons they carry have more ammuntion than standard weapons, as well as increased accuracy.

Also, since Brunei is full of swamps and areas where carrying heavy weapons could become a lethal liability, Bruneian weapons should be light-weight, preferably made of plastic. This also allows soldiers to move faster as they carry lighter loads.

Ideally, the characteristics of Bruneian weapons should be:

1. Light-weight
2. Large ammo capacity
3. Compact/portable (Small enough to move through the jungles)
4. Able to detect machines that are used by other forces that have a more advanced military technology
5. Accurate, for obvious reasons.
6. Camouflaged.

RBMP-Mk1 (Royal Brunei Machine Pistol Mark 1)

A machine pistol that has a very simple yet versatile design, it can be fitted with a silencer, telescopic scope and even a grenade launcher (An extra 2 kilograms). It has two magazines, and can be switched using the handles found on the left side of the gun. This effectively gives it more ammunition and saves time on reloading. In fact, you can reload one magazine while you fire using the rounds in the other magazine. Quite accurate if fired in short bursts.

FNH-P90BV (FNH-P90 Bruneian Version)

The original FNH-P90 is a 100% plastic Personal Defense Weapon that combines the accuracy of an assault rifle and the light-weight of a submachinegun. It has a transparent magazine case so that the gunner knows how many bullets remain. The magazine is loaded at the top of the gun, reducing the risk of the case falling off in mid-reload. It uses a turntable mechanism for ammunition feed. The P90 is well-known for being very ergonomic, accurate and excellent at penetrating certain armor. The P90's magazine capacity is 50 rounds, 20 more than the usual 30.

The Bruneian Version features a longer magazine case, holding 70 rounds, and has a telescopic sight that uses Infra Red imaging as well as Electromagnetic Detection (allowing it the gunner to see electronic items in use). This gun weighs slightly heavier than the original P90, but still relatively light and compact. This gun was designed to eliminate enemies using Night Vision Goggles, GPS and Infra-Red technology.

VIOLA Convertible Rifle (It is as of yet unknown what exactly VIOLA stands for, but the V apparently stands for Versatile)

A combination of the Russian-made VAL sniper rifle and the AK-101, the VIOLA is an all-plastic Convertible Rifle, able to switch between SR (Sniper Rifle) Mode and AR (Assault Rifle) Mode. AR mode and SR mode can be switched using the handle on the left side of the weapon. The top-most magazine is for SR, while the lower one is for AR. The barrel's length can be folded and lengthened to adjust the accuracy and the level of firing power. The barrel is designed to act as a suppressor, so all bullets are shot at subsonic speeds.

The built-in scope, like the one found on the FN-P90BV, uses Infra Red imaging as well as Electromagnetic Detection (allowing it the gunner to see electronic items in use). The VIOLA is also meant to take out enemies using Night Vision Goggles, GPS and Infra-Red technology.

The bullets are specially designed to penetrate kevlar and standard bullet-proof glass. The VIOLA's estimated effective range is 400metres. The VIOLA can be used to snipe enemy pilots/drivers.

KMA-ATO-01 (Kiss My Ass-Anti Tank Only-01)

Designed specifically to destroy heavily-armored targets, the KMA-ATO-01 is a rocket launcher that uses a Revolver feed system. The rockets have prototype C5 warheads that use active tracking for ensured accuracy. When the rocket is fired, the KMA-ATO-01 emits an ultraviolet laser which the rocket follows. The Revolver must be manually rotated by the user. Even so, it takes less time than inserting another rocket into the barrel.

The Penetrating Power of the C5 rockets is estimated to be 500mm, depending on the armor material. The sound of the explosion will cause permanent eardrum damage to anyone within 6 metres. Safety distance is 10 metres.

MZ-A11 Special Machine Pistol (Mayu Zane-A11)

Based on the scarce H&K G11, the MZ-A11 Special Machine Pistol is issued only to Special Forces. It is an excellent weapon that uses caseless magazines. Very accurate at long-range and equipped with a telescopic sight that uses Infra Red imaging as well as Electromagnetic Detection (allowing it the gunner to see electronic items in use). Yes, this too is used to eliminate enemies using GPS and NVGs. However, the MZ-A11 scope can also detect mines.

The MZ-A11 has a unique feature that guarantees penetration of Infantry wearing flak jackets: A Knife Launcher.The Knife Launcher fires the blade at a speed of 200 kmph, ensuring deep penetration. If the Knife has been coated with poison, it would be lethal no matter where the knife hit. The Knife Launcher attachment can also be used as a bayonet of sorts.

KMA-ATAP01 (Kiss My Ass-Anti Tank Anti Personnel 01)

The heaviest Anti-Armor weapon in the Bruneian Arsenal, the KMA-ATAP01 is designed to defeat enemy tanks as well as tank escorts. The KMA-ATAP01 fires UV laser-guided rockets like the KMA-ATO-01, but instead of a revolver feed, it uses a chain-link pulley system that pulls the rocket into the barrel. The rockets used are exactly the same as the ones found on the KMA-ATO-01.

The bottom part of the KMA-ATAP01 is actually a silenced assault rifle, and is meant to eliminate enemy tank escorts.
