Originally I wanted to use the entire page to show the whole caesarean process, until I realized I don't know what a real c-section looks like or how it's really done. Oh well.
It is tradition for Bruneian-Muslim fathers to recite the azan, or call to prayer next to their newborn children, I suppose this is partly an homage to my roots, at the same time shedding more light into the kind of person Ash really is.
The manner of which the call to prayer is written here expresses Ash's change of rhythm as he recites, and the fact that the baby's own cry cannot be 'heard' emphasizes how loud he's saying it.
