So I've been busy working on uni projects. Had to finish Devil May Cry 4 at turbo speed too and get the best ending on the first go so I won't need to play it all over again.

After playing it on Devil Hunter mode, I have to say this sequel is easier than the previous Devil May Cry, which to me is a good thing because I want games to be challenging, not murderous.

Although at first I was very annoyed by how the main character Nero looks EXTREMELY similar to Dante (right down to hair and clothes), these two characters play very differently.

While Nero uses a demonic grappling move that can reach enemies at a distance, and has a sword with an engine (don't ask) which can be revved up to increase attack power, Dante has a wider variety of styles and weapons.

Playing as Nero is easier but a bit simpler, while Dante has huge possibilities for unique and stylish combos but will require more skill to pull off as you switch fighting styles and weapons on the fly.

Graphics are gorgeous, with very brief loading times. Music is the usual aggro DMC stuff you'd expect.

Regardless, the overall playing experience is fun, fast-paced and exciting, with my only real complaints being boss recycling, sometimes confusing pathways and an overused gimmick repeated over and over near the end.

As for the 20 minute long 5 GB install, that really matters little to me. I just spent that time going to the toilet and then eating a sandwich while watching a youtube video.

For heaven's sake, it's not like the disc sprouts a chain and shackles to keep you from doing something other than watching the screen.

Overall, I'd give it a thumbs up. Great game, fun while it lasted.

No I am not going to give a number. I just realized that the whole point of a review is to decide whether something should be worthy of your time or not, not giving a damn score like it's a test paper.
